Nebraska District LCMS Nebraska District Office
Developing Leaders for Ministry (DLM)

DLM, as it is commonly known, is a movement within our Synod of clustering congregation pastors, commissioned ministers, and lay leaders in supportive small groups.

In the past year several new DLM groups have been formed in the district.  Agreeing to meet regularly for the purpose of learning and applying leadership skills related to God’s Kingdom expansion, each group studies, shares, encourages, and prays in a trusting and encouraging climate.

Such clusters are avenues for multiplying ministry and aiding congregations to see more clearly their mission within their communities.

Writes Dr. David Mulder of LCMS Congregational Services, “Developing lay leaders who will partner with pastors in ‘Telling the Good News About Jesus,’ is a very positive dimension of our church’s mission and ministry.  DLM has all the ingredients to do just that.  I am excited about the current and potential impact DLM can have on the LCMS.”

Pastor David Block of Divine Shepherd in Omaha is the DLM leader in the Nebraska District. Contact Pastor Block with questions or for more information on this ministry opportunity.
