Domestic Violence Awareness
Faith Community Responses to Domestic Violence Workshop
A training seminar about domestic violence entitled “Faith Community Responses to Domestic Violence” will be offered Monday, March 10, at Holy Cross, Kearney. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the training will begin at 8:30 a.m., concluding at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come hear experts in the field from the Family Violence Council and Voices of Hope provide key information on how faith communities can effectively reach out to those affected by domestic violence. This training seminar would be excellent for church and school office staff, teachers, Sunday school teachers, and other members of a parish. More information and a registration form is available from the links on the right. Registrations are due to the District Office by March 3. Training, materials, and lunch are provided at the low cost of $5.00 per participant thanks to the support of grants from Family Violence Council of Lincoln/Lancaster County, Nebraska Domestic Violence Sexual Assult Coalition, and Interchurch Ministries of Nebraska.
