Wheat Ridge Ministries Grant Programs
These Hope and Health grants are available to help start a parish health ministry. Wheat Ridge also provides resources on grant writing.

Your local Thrivent representatives may also have information on funding possibilities.

Following are some suggestions from the LCMS Health Ministries Newsletter:

• Make a plan and budget for the work you want to accomplish.  See about getting that budget as a line item in your congregation's budget.
  
  
• Brainstorm where any possible funding could come from.  Remember brainstorming considers EVERY idea a good one.
  
  
• Consider sources within the congregation, i.e. grateful recipients of your care, family members, LWML (congregation and district), men's clubs, or day school support projects.
  
  
• Design gift cards to be used within your congregation for donations, memorials, or gifts of honor.  Design one card for the donor as a thank you and one for the recipient explaining the gift.
  
  
• Resources in the community such as Rotary Club, Kiwanis, or Lion's Club.  Offer to do a presentation at one of their meetings and find out what they could do to help your program. 
  
  
• Pray! Our gracious Lord and Mighty God works in might ways!
