Current Task Forces

The Nebraska District has given its President and Board of Directors the privilege and responsibility to appoint task forces, action teams and committees to accomplish the District’s mission to resource leaders, congregations and related organizations in their mission of discipling the saved and proclaiming Christ to a lost and changing world.

Task Force – an appointed team who investigates a mission or ministry need in order to gather data and make recommendations.

Action Team – an appointed team who uses the data gathered by a task force in order to accomplish a specific mission or ministry action.

Committee – an appointed team who provides continual focus on a particular mission or ministry need.

Current Task Forces, Action Teams, and Committees
Lay Leadership Support & Concerns Task Force appointed by District President to Biblically, Confessionally and practically investigate support and concerns regarding Level 3 (Licensed Deacons) of the Nebraska District Lay Leadership program. – Status:  completed Biblical study and on summer break

Deaf Ministry Task Force appointed by District President to investigate changing ministry needs of deaf people across Nebraska and make recommendations of how to effectively provide deaf ministry in Nebraska . - Status: in process

New Mission/Church Planting Task Force appointed by the District President to investigate new ministry and new congregation planting models. – Status: in process

District Youth Gathering Steering Action Team appointed by District President to prepare and coordinate the November 2011 District Youth Gathering. – Status: in process
