Vision and Goals of The Nebraska District Board of Directors

Mission - The Nebraska District LCMS resources leaders, congregations and related organizations in their mission of discipling the saved and proclaiming Christ to a lost and changing world.

Vision The Nebraska District of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod  is actively listening and responding to the people of God (congregations of the District).

Means

  • Facilitating resources
  • Fostering a climate of encouragement, affirmation and trust for the ministry of the Gospel
  • Assisting in the development of lay and professional clergy leadership


Values and Core Principles

We Believe: (Our Core Values)

  • The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God and the only source of absolute truth.
  • The Lutheran Confessions are a correct exposition of the truths of the Scriptures.
  • There is only One God, eternally existent in Three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Our salvation is only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and is only through the Spirit working through the means of grace. 
  • Through the means of grace we are enabled to live out our faith and apply Scriptures to our lives.
  • The resurrection of both the saved and lost; those who are saved into the resurrection of life and those who are lost into the resurrection of damnation.
