Educators’ Conference

2015 logoNebraska District Educators’ Conference

October 22-23, 2015
Concordia Jr. – Sr. High, Omaha

Shaping The Future! This year’s theme implies that we, as the leaders in our Lutheran ministries, can shape the future. How can we do such a marvelous thing? Isaiah 43:19 gives us the answer and focus as it declares, “Behold, I am doing a new thing.” We want you to be shaped anew so you can go about a ministry of “Shaping The Future!” Dan Webster will help us focus on identity and legacy with two shaped keynotes. “IDENTITY: The Leader I Want To Become!” and “LEGACY: The Mark I Want To Leave!”

Dan Webster is a longtime friend of the LCMS. He has presented for several years at the SLED (School Leadership Development Project) and various gatherings around the Synod. In 1995 he founded Authentic Leadership, Inc. and he currently serves as the company’s president. Since starting his company, he has devoted his life to speaking, writing, and mentoring leaders inside and outside the church.

Join other educators from across the Nebraska District at this year’s Educators’ Conference on October 22 and 23 at Concordia Jr. – Sr. High School in Omaha. The conference theme, Shaping the Future, is based on Isaiah 43:19.

logo - no wordsExplanation of the logo:

The red square on the left bottom corner is the cornerstone. It is red for the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus Christ. You will see that the cornerstone is set within the larger square which is our world. We live in the world with Jesus as our rock. The cross is elevated to show the resurrection of our King. The cross is purple for royalty and power. The light grey “L” is for the love that Jesus has for us. The path through the square (yellow) is the narrow path. Jesus rose from the dead by the power of the cross, giving us a narrow gate to heaven. “Enter through the gate and broad is the road that leads to life, and only a few will find it.” We can shape the future by helping others find the gate.
