Nebraska District LCMS Nebraska District Office
Council of Lutheran Youth Fellowship Representative (CLYFR) Application

The Youth Committee of the Nebraska District LCMS desires to find 2 high school youth (Lutheran Youth Fellowship (LYF) representatives) who are interested in developing their own leadership skills, and in turn, help congregations develop youth leadership within their own programs. Training will be provided through a national program called “Teen Leadership Initiative” offered through the Council of Lutheran Youth Fellowship Representatives (CLYFR).

This youth would join the 4 other LYF representatives in doing these three things:

1)      Out of the 5 youth, 2 of them are selected each year to attend the CLYFR training in St. Louis . Those 2 youth will then return to Nebraska and train the other 3 LYF representatives in the district (August 4).

2)      The group of 5 LYF representatives will then train district youth on how to be leaders within their own congregations. Follow the link on the right for information on the most current training session.

3)      These LYF representatives would represent Nebraska ’s high school youth and would have an advisory role on the District Board of Youth.

If your congregation or school has a youth that would be a good candidate, please have them fill out the application by following the link to the right and return it to:
