The leaders of the Sudanese Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mission signed the constitution of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod in a special service on Sunday, December 10, 2006. Amid the celebration, the leaders of the congregation signed the Constitution and Bylaws of the LCMS. President Russ Sommerfeld and Rev. Rich Boring, Mission Executive for the Nebraska District, both took part in this service.

Choirs from within the congregation and from around the United States joined with this congregation to celebrate.

This congregation joined the 244 other congregations of the Nebraska District on September 8, when its constitution and bylaws were approved by the Nebraska District Board of Directors. Read more about that historic day in the Nebraska District by following the link on the right.
