The Sudanese Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mission became an official congregation of the Nebraska District on September 8, 2006, and signed the constitution of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod on December 10. More information is available from the links on the right

Three Sudanese deacons, under the supervision of Rev. Tim Heupel of Beautiful Savior, Omaha, serve this ministry. Following are some ministry statistics as of December 2004.

• The ministry has 71 members
• Worship attendance in November was from 56-73 people
• The Nuer class each Saturday morning has 67 students
• There are 15 people in the confirmation class
