Missionaries Are Even Electrical Engineers
At just the right time in just the right way, God will call people to help when there is a problem. A Missionary Museum was not something I had even thought about for Mission Central. It was not a possibility, and just couldn't be done. Yet, God had some other plans. We just needed to "fix our eyes on Jesus"......and remember the words of 2 Corinthians 4:18; "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." We can't always see the plans that God has for us in our lives, we just have to focus on Him and he will do the rest! More and more people were calling from all over and wanted to "leave" things at Mission Central. Retired missionaries called and wanted to leave all of their "artifacts" that they had collected all of
their lives and they wanted to give them to Mission Central, so others could come and see them. After traveling to 70 countries I had many things I wanted to display....but, how could this be done? Well, God had it all figured out. At just the right time an interior decorator from Omaha, Nebraska, called and asked if she could ever help with something. I asked her what her specialty was and she said, "Arranging things for display like in a museum!" and when I heard that, I knew it was happening again! She came and worked for days in our barn, and when she came she brought a retired pastor who helped to build the shelves for the entire display area. However, we had a problem. After all the artifacts were in place is was very dark along the walls. What would we do? Again, just fix our eyes on Jesus....and sure enough a man from Omaha came forward and said, "Can I do the wiring and lighting in the Museum, as I am an electrical engineer and would love to help!" He completed a wonderful lighting system that has
remote switches that can be activated at just the right time to illuminate, with flood lights, each of the areas of the world! This volunteer electrical engineer is Herb Glesmann and his wife Marianne, and they are now on staff at Mission Central. God can even call electrical engineers at just the right time. If you want to see the Museum, call Mission Central.
