The 2004 Synod convention passed a resolution establishing Fan into Flame as a fund raising campaign throughout the Synod in support of the Ablaze! movement. The Nebraska District Board of Directors approved the Nebraska District's participation in the Fan into Flame campaign during 2008. 

The Ablaze! movement is the bold initiative sparked by LCMS World Mission within The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to share the Good News of Jesus with 100 million people by the year 2017, the 500^th anniversary of the Reformation. Fan into Flame will secure new funds to reach the lost through mission work locally, nationally, and internationally.  Fan into Flame seeks to raise $100 million in new money in support of the Ablaze! movement and its bold and inspiring vision. 

This campaign in unique from all others in that the money raised will be divided to do mission work in four distinct areas:

• congregational level (15% net),
• district level (15% net),
• national level (20% net),
• internationally (50% net).

Every congregation in the Nebraska District will have the opportunity to participate in the campaign during 2008, in any way it feels is most appropriate. More informtaion will be shared through letters, newsletters, this website, and informational meetings.
