STAN FEHLHAFER, 15700 Havelock Avenue, Lincoln, 68527 - Director

Stan currently serves as teacher/principal at Messiah Lutheran School, Lincoln (since 1985). He also served at Zion (Worms), St. Libory, as teacher/principal (1966-1985). He graduated from Concordia, Seward, in 1966 and has been in Lutheran teaching for 37 years. He has also served as chairman of the Lutheran Teachers' Conference (1985-1986); chairman of the Lutheran Principals' Conference (1999); and as a member of the District Board of Directors (1982-1988). 

    
 

REV. NORMAN FRIEDMEYER - 1306 Oak Hill Road, Plattsmouth, 68048 - 3RD V.P.

Rev. Friedmeyer presently serves as pastor of First, Plattsmouth (since 1987). He also served as pastor of Trinity, Hebron (1981-1987). He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, in 1981 and has served in the Nebraska District for 21 years. He has also served as Omaha South Circuit Counselor (1994-2000); as the District Director for Alive in Christ (1986); as pastoral advisor for Nebraska Lutherans For Life (1989-1991); and as pastoral advisor for his LWML zone (1991-1994).

    
 

KEVIN FRY - PO Box 35, Ewing, 68735 - Director

Kevin is a member of Concordia, Clearwater, and has served as congregation chairman and vice-chairman. He has been in the Nebraska District his entire life. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a BS in animal science. He is self-employed at Fry Brothers Fertilizer in Ewing. His civic experience includes serving as board chairman for Ewing Public Schools and as a panel member for the National Association of Educational Progress (NAEP).

    
 

DOROTHY HARMONEY - 207 Oakwood Dr., Papillion 68133 - Director

Dorothy is a member of Trinity, Murdock, and has served her congregation as a member of the Board of Evangelism, LWML, choir, and evangelism outreach, as well as Sunday school teacher and superintendent and a youth leader.  Dorothy is employed as a transportation specialist at Con Agra in Omaha and has lived in Nebraska her entire life. She has also served as Christian Growth Chairman of the Kearney LWML zone. Civic experience includes being a 4-H leader.

     
 

STEVE HENRY - PO Box 540, Arapahoe, 68922 - Director

Steve is a member of Trinity, Arapahoe, where he has served as an elder, adult Bible study instructor, Board of Education member, and in various other capacities, including LLL and AAL member. He received a BS degree in agriculture from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and is a self-employed farmer.  His civic experiences include KNGN Lutheran Radio board member and member of Lutherans For Life. 

    
 

REV. ROLAND JANK JR. - 6928 Florence Boulevard, Omaha, 68112 - Secretary

Rev. Jank presently serves as pastor of Mount Olive, Omaha (since 1977).  Prior to that, he served as assistant pastor of Mount Olive, Omaha (1974-1977). He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in 1974 and has been in the Nebraska District for 28 years. He has served as Omaha North Circuit Counselor and as District Convention chaplain and on the Board of Directors for Project Hope and Together, Inc.

    
 

PAUL LECKBAND - 1606 Skyline Dr., Nofolk, 68701 - Director

Paul presently serves as principal/executive director of Lutheran High Northeast, Norfolk.  He has also served Lutheran high schools in Honolulu, Haw., Lincoln, Neb., and North Chicago, Ill.  In 1975 he graduated from Concordia, Seward.  He has been in Lutheran teaching for 28 years, 19 in the Nebraska District.  He has served the Nebraska District on the Constitution and Bylaws Committee, the Bylaws Task Force, and as president of the Principals' Conference.

    
 

CHRISTOPHER MARTIN - 6042 N. 110th Circle, Omaha, 68164 - Director 

Christopher is a member of Lamb of God, Papillion and has served his congregation as deacon.  He graduated from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo) in 1988 with a BBA in business administration/accounting.  He is currently employed as a project manager with First Data Resources in Omaha (since 1997) and prior to that was employed as a project manager with Old Kent Bank in Grand Rapids, Mich. (1994-1997).  Civic experience includes working with Habitat for Humanity.

    
 

ROBERT ONNEN - 239 N. 6th, Hebron, 68370 - Director

Robert is a member of Faith, Hebron.  He has served his congregation as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent, on the Board of Education, Board of Elders, and as an LLL officer.  He holds a BS degree from Peru State College.  He has worked as a farmer, in lumber sales, and is presently self-employed and owner of R. J. Woods Cabinet Shop in Hebron.  He has also served on the LLL District Board and on the Hebron Secrest Library Board.

    
 

REV. CLINT POPPE - 705 Glenarbor Circle, Lincoln, 68512. - 1ST V.P.

Rev. Poppe presently serves as senior pastor of Good Shepherd, Lincoln (since 1998).  He has previously served as a lay minister at St. Paul Lutheran Church, West Point (1986-1994).  He received his Lay Ministry Certification from Concordia, Mequon, in 1988.  He entered Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and received his M.Div. degree in 1998.  He is currently enrolled in the Master of Sacred Theology degree program at Concordia, St. Louis.  He has served the Nebraska District 13 years. 

    
 

RON RATHE - RR 1, Box 5A, Tecumseh, 68450 - Director

Ron is a member of St. John, Tecumseh, and has served his congregation in many capacities.  He is manager of the Humboldt/Tecumseh office of the Omaha Public Power District.  Ron has served on the Nominations Committee for two terms, as well as nine previous years on the Board of Directors. He served the LLL in many capacities, including District president.  Civic activities include president of the economic development, parks and recreation, and city zoning boards.

    
 

REV. ROGER SCHEPMANN - 1101 K Road, Beemer, 68716 - 4th V.P.

Rev. Schepmann presently serves as pastor of Immanuel, Beemer (since 1981) and Zion St. John, Wisner (dual since 1999).  He has also served as vacancy pastor of Immanuel, Dodge (1983-1999); as well as teaching in Kansas and North Dakota.  He completed the colloquy program at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in 1982 and has been in the Nebraska District for 21 years. He previously served as Third Vice President of the District (2000-2003).  He has also served as counselor and Native American Ministry chairman of West Point Circuit and pastoral counselor for the West Point Zone and Nebraska North LWML.

    
 

REV. NORTH SHERRILL - 2521 30th Avenue, Kearney, 68845 - 2nd V.P.

Rev. Sherrill presently serves Zion, Kearney (since 1997).  He previously served as a pastor in Michigan.  He graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1969 with a BS in chemical engineering.  He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, in 1979.  He has been in the Nebraska District for six years.  He has served District and Synod in a number of ways, including various committees and as a pastoral counselor.  He was a pastoral delegate to the 1981 Synodical Convention.

    
 

REV. RUSSELL SOMMERFELD - 535 Evergreen Dr., Seward, 68434 - President

President Sommerfeld is beginning his first term as District President.  He served as senior pastor of Holy Cross, Kearney from 1995 until his election to president in June.  He has also served as pastor of Trinity, Arapahoe (1986-1995) and dual congregations in Kansas (1980-1986).  He has served on the Board as a Vice President of the District since 1994. He has also served as a circuit counselor, as LLL pastoral advisor, and on numerous other committees.

    
 

GLENN VAN VELSON - 714 Stewart Avenue, North Platte, 69101 - Director

Glenn is a member of Beautiful Savior, North Platte, and has served his congregation as chairman, president, choir director, Bible study leader, teacher for confirmation class, on the Board of Elders, building committee, and voters' assembly.  He graduated from Kearney State College with a BA/BFA in music and with a JD degree from UNL College of Law.  He is currently self-employed as owner and attorney of Van Velson Law Office in North Platte.  He has served as District Convention Parliamentarian and as a lay delegate.  Glenn has contributed in many ways to his community as well.

    
 

DENNIS WACKER - 26288 540th Ave., Osmond, 68765 - Director

Dennis, a farmer, is a member of Zion, Plainview.  He has served his congregation as elder, adult Bible class leader, Sunday school superintendent, and vice president.  He has been in the Nebraska District all his life and has served on the District Stewardship Committee and on the Nominations Committee.  He has also served the Nebraska District LLL in various leadership roles.
