The All Professional Church Workers’ Conference for workers in the Nebraska District will be held Monday, October 22, through Wednesday, October 24, at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln, NE. The theme of this conference will be “Connected in Christ—Connected in Ministry” based on Philippians 2:1-4.

The conference will focus on the common connection we have with each other through faith alone in Jesus Christ as Savior. This connectedness in Christ and in ministry has implications for how we interact with each other as we serve the Lord together.

This year’s conference will have a different format which will:

• encourage those involved to connect with those who serve in similar areas of ministry but also with those who serve in other areas.
• allow workshops to be better targeted and more focused for those attending the conference.

Teachers, DCEs, and other commissioned ministers will meet on the first two days—Monday and Tuesday, October 22-23.

Pastors and vicars will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 23-24.

As you can see, all professional workers will meet together on the middle day for a time to celebrate being “Connected in Christ and Connected in Ministry.” The conference banquet will be held at noon on Tuesday to allow all participants to be a part of this fellowship event.

The conference featured two presenters: Dr. Jeff Burkart from Concordia University, St. Paul, and Dr. Reed Lessing from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, as well as a number of break-out sessions. See the tentative agenda linked on the right for more information.
