| Missional Leadership Retreat
WINTER STORM ALERT: A winter storm is predicted for this coming weekend. However, it is expected to be finished by Sunday, Feb. 5. At this time, with the current forecast, we are still planning on holding the retreat as scheduled. If things change, participants will be emailed and/or called. As always, if you feel it is unsafe to travel, you are urged to make the decision whether to come or not based on your individual circumstances. Pastors and principals are invited for an informal time of building relationships, developing missional strategies, and sharing ministry resources with others who are interested in engaging their communities for outreach. The first Missional Leadership Retreat will be February 6-7, 2012, at the Holiday Inn Express in Columbus. It will feature nationally-respected congregational systems consultant Rev. Peter Steinke, author of numerous books, including A Door Set Open. Rev. Steinke will engage the participants in a discussion of how applying family systems principles can help congregations and schools walk through changes in their ministries in response to their changing mission field. This retreat is for all pastors and principals who want to gather for mutual prayer, support, and encouragement, as well as the opportunity to explore “grounding change in mission and hope” with an expert in the field. Come and gather with others for the common goal of learning from one another, encouraging one another, and building a network of support for one another. Registration materials were emailed and are available to be printed at the right. Online registration is also available. If you are not sure if you are registering as one of the first 50, call Nichole at 888-643-2961, ext. 1003 or email nicholeh@ndlcms.org. |
