2012 Nebraska District Convention

The Nebraska District Convention will be held at Concordia University, Seward, on June 8-9, 2012. The theme verse for Convention will be Galatians 6:9-10, Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. More information will be posted on this page in the months to come.

Rev. John Wohlrabe, second vice-president of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, will be our synodical representative. Rev. Rick Marrs, professor at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, will be the convention essayist. LCMS President Rev. Matthew Harrison will also be at a portion of the Convention.

The Convention agenda has been condensed to fit all of the business into two days, June 8-9. Registration and floor committee open hearings will begin Friday morning, with a noon meal and the opening worship service to follow. The convention is scheduled to end by 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Convention Workbook is being provided electronically on flash drive this year. Workbooks were mailed to all rostered church workers and lay delegates on April 24. Anyone who did not receive a Workbook should call or email Candi Menze at 888-643-2961, ext. 1010, or Guests and those who will not receive a Workbook are welcome to download, view, and print any portion of the Workbook from the right.
