The children at Vacation Bibile School at Grace, Pleasanton, this summer we part of something historic! They raised over $1,000 for books to help support Jerry and Carol Loewe in Africa. They were also the reason Pastor Dean Hanson shaved his mustache of 28 years!

When the children's donations reached $500 during their week-long VBS, Pastor Hanson's mustache and sideburns were colored blue. On the last night of VBS, their mission goal of $1,000 had not been reached, so 1/2 of Pastor's mustache was shaved off. The studens decided the whole thing needed to go, so by the end of the night, the goal was reached and over $1,000 for missions was gathered.
