LCEF Picnic in the Park

Please join Nebraska District Lutheran Church Extension Fund to enjoy a Family Fun Day on Sunday, June 11, at the Eugene T. Mahoney State Park in Ashland.

• LCEF will cover the entrance fee and provide a cookout from noon – 2:00 p.m.
• Check in at the gate and sign the LCEF log.
• Join them for a cookout at the Wild Turkey Shelter.
• Enjoy the many activities that the park has to offer. (There may be a fee for some of the park’s activities which would be your responsibility.)

Nebraska District Church Worker Retreat with Grace Place Wellness Ministries

Grace Place Wellness Ministries will be holding a Nebraska District Church Worker retreat at the Lied Conference Center in Nebraska City from June 12 to 16. This retreat is for active church workers only. There are 20 available spots (and space to include up to 15 children). There is a $300 registration fee. Prairie Fire: Building Bridges

logo-colorMark your calendars and make plans to attend Prairie Fire: Building Bridges on Saturday, August 5, at Concordia University, Seward.

The day will be filled with encouragement and practical tools designed to help EVERYONE learn how to build genuine, caring relationships within their various vocations of family, workplace, church, neighborhood, and recreational communities. Breakout sessions will focus on building relationships with disconnected members; neighbors, friends and co-workers; military families; those in conflicted situations; our Muslim neighbors and more. All Professional Church Workers’ Conference

The Nebraska District will be combining the Fall Pastors’ Conference and Educators’ Conference in 2017 to host a conference for all church workers in the District. The conference will be held at The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. Registration is $130 per person and covers all conference sessions, lunch on Thursday, breakfast on Friday, and snacks. Mark your calendars and plan to attend together as a staff.

Keynotes will be given by Tim Elmore and Andrew McPeak from Growing Leaders. The LCMS Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Task Force will also present.

The conference will also include super-sectionals for select ministry groups as well as 3 smaller breakout sessions covering a wide variety of topics for ministry and education.

Registration materials will be available on our website in August.
