Middle School Youth Gathering—Embassy Suites, LaVista
Middle school youth and their leaders are invited to come learn from our theme which is centered on the word SHOW. Based on 2 Corinthians 3:3-6, youth will spend the weekend learning that we show that we are ‘a letter from Christ’ in what we sow, how we show love, and so we are ‘prepared to give a response’ in our daily lives.
Registration includes Saturday dinner & Sunday breakfast, snacks, speakers, talent show, and games!
Participants will join together as a large group for the mass events to sing, pray, and hear the keynote speaker talk about the Gathering theme. Breakouts and Bible studies will be a time for smaller groups to meet and dive deeper into the theme and discuss what it means to ShOw.
And there will be time to play! Take part in the talent show or just watch and then choose from the fun activities during fellowship time. You’re sure to meet new friends and grow in your relationship with Jesus!

Equip to Engage Regional Workshop—Kearney
Can you imagine a day when your congregation is fully a part of the community around it? Do you pray for a time when your members build meaningful, Christ-centered relationships with each other and those outside the church community? Are you ready to lead your church into the community to which you are being sent?
A group of lay leaders and your pastor are invited to be equipped and encouraged to embrace the community in which you serve and to engage the people around you with the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. Find more information ready to email or print at the link on this page.
These workshops are being offered free of charge through a partnership of the Center for U.S. Mission, the Nebraska District LCMS, the Kearney Circuit, and Peace, Waverly. A free-will donation will be taken each day to help cover the cost of lunch, which will be provided.

Wives of Pastors’ Workshop—Grand Island
Chasing Freedom: Freedom, Expectations, and Life Together
God made us for freedom, but we chase it and search for it all around us, always seeking a little bit more, where freedom already exists. We want control over our life, freedom from the expectations swirling around us, freedom from the pain inflicted by others, shallow or deep. Let’s stop chasing freedom together and start sitting in the freedom we have, discovering more of all Jesus gives us, today and each day from here forward, throwing off the expectations of others and resting in the expectations of God and God alone.
Wives and widows of pastors and vicars serving in Nebraska are invited to register and make plans to attend the Wives of Pastors’ retreat on February 1-2, 2019, in Grand Island. Participants will dig deep in their study of the book of Galatians with retreat leader Deaconess Heidi Goehmann, as well as spending time in worship, music, and fellowship.
Registration materials were mailed in mid-October and may be found, along with more information, by clicking here.
