The Nebraska District LCMS is getting ready to SHINE! a spotlight on service in April 2024. Throughout the district, groups of two or more people are asked to give witness to the love of Jesus through acts of service to their neighbors and communities. Simply join with some people from your church, school, small group, ministry group, family, etc., and serve!

Pre-Retirement Workshop for Concordia Retirement Plan Members
Understanding the retirement process can be complex, so the Nebraska District and financial educators Paul Endorf and Paul Snyder from Concordia Plans are hosting a pre-retirement workshop for individuals serving in LCMS ministries. Who should attend? Workers enrolled in the Concordia Retirement Plan pension, especially those age 50 or older who are thinking about retirement. Spouses are strongly encouraged to attend also.

Care and Counsel of Distressed Couples: Have you ever struggled with how to be of service to couples who come to you for help with their marriages? Join us in June as we explore what it means to shepherd the couples God has placed under our care. Competent and confident pastoral care and counsel of distressed couples is needed to build and maintain healthy Christian families. Healthy marriages are the bedrock of so many aspects of the kingdom of God including: effective faith formation and modeling of Christian marriage for the next generation, the health and vitality of the local congregation, and a positive witness to the community.
